Highbourne Cay Solar
In the Bahama Islands, we have an average of 7.5hrs of full sun, to the benefit of an alternate energy source.

On a private Island:
Between the dates; Oct 2020-Feb 2021, (During COVID) We cleared & graded -4 acres of land, for the installation of a ground mounted PV Array, with 3,336 panels, yeilding 835kw of electricity to the grid.

This solar installation, was the largest system ever installed in the Bahamas.

More about this...
Previously, the grid was 100% supplied by a automated, diesel powered generator plant.
The addition of 2mwh of batteries, completed a 3-way Hybrid system.
This Phase One, design yeilded:-
• 8hrs from the PV Array.
• 8hrs from the lithium batteries.
• 8hrs from the Diesel generators.
The fuel savings were immediately curved by 66%, representing a cash
savings of $50,000.00 per month. In its current state.
Phase Two: by adding an additional 2mwh of battery storage would, eliminate the diesel power plant completely.
Nonetheless, phase one was a straight line pay back of 4.5yrs on the this investment.
The lifeline on the equipment is 25yrs on the PV array & 12yrs on the batteries.
